Sanskriti School

Mrs Abha Sahgal, the current Principal of Sanskriti School joined in April 2008. Mrs Sahgal brings with her 35 years of teaching and administrative experience. Having started her career as an English teacher at the Delhi Public School, RK Puram in 1981, Mrs Sahgal became the Headmistress of Delhi Public School, Vasant Vihar in 1995. Her dedication, motivation, love for children and leadership skills made her the obvious choice for starting the Delhi Private School in Sharjah (under the aegis of the Delhi Public School Society). As the Founder Principal at Sharjah, Mrs Sahgal took several initiatives to reform educational practices to make learning more enjoyable and child-centric at school.

Mrs Sahgal is committed to all that Sanskriti stands for and is taking bold steps to further strengthen the school’s position as one of the leading schools of the country. She is particularly keen on providing direction and guidance to young learners to understand the changing social values, norms and societal pressures, so that they may take informed decisions. With respect to academics, Mrs Sahgal believes that children must engage with content in order to construct their knowledge and become life-long learners. She encourages students to excel in all they do – be it curricular or co-curricular activities. It is with these beliefs that Mrs Sahgal has taken on the baton of Sanskriti to lead it and maintain its high standards in school education.
